Kent Integrated Dermatology Service is a patient focused service for West Kent’s population. The service provides assessments, diagnoses and treatments of skin conditions at several sites throughout West Kent.

Having several clinic locations around West Kent enables the service to focus on making appointments convenient for patients, whilst they still receive the highest standard of care from the very best Dermatologists.

Our clinics are led by Consultant Dermatologists with expertise in dermatological surgery and skin cancer management. Our Consultants also work alongside several Doctors who have a specialist interest in skin and Nurses who have many years of experience in this field.

The dermatology department is involved in medical student and junior doctor tuition. If you are a doctor and wish to shadow one of our Consultant Dermatologists during their clinics, please contact the Service Manager directly on 01732 651041 or onto arrange this.

We invest a great deal of resources into our whole team, which allows us to offer a one-stop service for skin cancer management in over 80% of patients; this includes performing diagnostic biopsies and treatments on the first visit. Efficient use of our doctors and nurses enable us to keep our waiting list times down – aiming for an average of a six week wait across all locations for routine referrals.

Suspected skin cancer referrals are seen urgently within dedicated clinics and always within a two week time frame. If required, day surgery can also be organised following a consultation at a number of our locations across West Kent. The location of the surgery depends on the complexity of the case and we also take the patient’s personal preference into account.
